Homelessness is a major problem all over the world, for many reasons such as; escaping abusive family members, poverty, addictions, and simply not wanting to live by society’s rules.
In this case an Agency decided to higher homeless people as Wi-Fi hotspots. Reason being was because of an upcoming convention where everyone would be able to connect to the same hotspot, which left the homeless to solve the problem. Many people felt it was cruel to use someone that is homeless in that form of manner, but to the homeless it was a great way of making money. If a homeless individual approached the conference, and there was a hotspot for a donation, I would definitely agree on the situation. The dilemma is not the homeless, but the society around them. Many people in our society believe that homelessness is caused because people are too lazy, and addiction problems.
Many homeless people have to go down the path that they are in, and it this can cause people to make poor decisions. Homelessness is based on being stereotyped by egocentric people who are close minded to unfortunate people in our society. Everyone has their own specific reasons why they are homeless and it’s the duties of our society to help prevent people from not having a place to stay. No one knows why the outcome of being homeless occurred to them, until we listen to them without assuming based on stereotypes. My reason on morality of why I think a homeless hotspot is a good idea is because if I was in a situation where I had nowhere to live, or no way of providing food for myself, I would be in desperate need of an income to keep me alive and would be willing to do whatever it takes to get money for one night. Getting paid 20$ for the day is a good donation, because some homeless people don’t get anything at all, and this also helps people interact with the homeless.
