Holiness is something that one can obtain in this life. It removes all evil from his heart, allowing him to truly and completely serve God. This does not mean he will not make mistakes, because he still will since he is still human. One can not grow into holiness, but he can only grow in it. Holiness consists of taking out the old and adding the new. “It will take a second work of grace, preceded by a whole-hearted consecration and as definite an act of faith as that which preceded [ones] conversion.”1 The hindrances of receiving this grace come from with in a person. Imperfect consecration and imperfect faith are two of the big problems.2 There are also people who expect less of sanctification or who expect more of it. Holiness must be …show more content…

The secret these wonderful revivals was and is prayer. Many men of prayer have had to make themselves go to prayer, but when they would keep at it God would come down. Let us keep coming before God's throne trusting big things from Him. Historical evidence and the Holy Spirit living in man's heart are two ways the resurrection is proven to be true. The only true way to be a good witness and win sinners to Christ is to have the Holy Spirit. His indwelling allows man to know Jesus in the Spirit instead of just His flesh. Anyone can have this experience if he will follow God completely. Holiness is “Christ in you”8 There is no way that Christ will become loved of the world, so neither will holiness be something that the world latches onto. There are many false Christs out there, but the true “Christ in you” will not be popular. Just live the life and it may draw someone to plead God for cleansing. When trials come our way, we need to just keep our eyes on Jesus and trust Him. If our mind starts to wander for God, we need to calmly pull our mind back.
