Health Educators are professionals who hold prepared knowledge and skills which are based on research to help to promote health education to change the behaviour in individuals as well as the population. Health educators promote the importance of health to prevent the population from the growth of certain diseases to prevent deaths and disabilities. They provide the population with information on any health related issues that are effecting the population or could possibly effect the population. The world health organization also known as WHO is the directing and organising authority within the United Nations, they produce the health guidelines and the standards; they also help countries to overcome public health issues. This organisation supports and promotes the research into health and WHO helps governments to jointly challenge global health problems and to improve people’s well-being and lives. The NHS Direct is health advice and an information service that is provided by the National Health Services which was made in March 1998. This service is telephone operated which is led by nurses who provide health information to residents and any visitors of England; this healthcare advice is available 24 hours a day every day of the year. However this was discontinued in March 2014 due to the fact that the number given was chargeable and some landlines provided the 0845 numbers to have inclusive minutes.
