As a nation, we recognize that "all men are created equal" and that everyone has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Without the opportunity of education, an individual's ability to achieve a good quality of life is compromised, their pursuit of happiness is hindered, and their ability to understand their own liberty is decreased. Headstart is a nationwide program that provides all children with the opportunity of education, fostering success later in life, despite any differences or disadvantages the child may have at birth. Headstart allows all children, regardless of economic situation or home life, to start school on even ground.
