Recommended: Hawaiian history paper

Hawaiian and Pacific Islanders refers to people originating from Hawaii, Guam, Tonga, Samoa, Fiji, the Marshalls or other Pacific Islands. Even though they represent a small portion of the population most of them reside in Hawaii, along with California, Washington, Texas, Nevada, and Utah. Slowly they are expanding their territory considering most of this group is under the age of 18. As they grow older, they will start discovering all the opportunities that life can offer. This can make the group expand more East, growing the population of Hawaiian and Pacific Islanders within the U.S. But unfortunately, while on their journey throughout life, they have a suffering a increasing rate of people suffering from substance abuse. These behaviors can be influenced by peer pressure, curiosity, depression, the belief that drugs and alcohol might benefit them, other users in the family, coping mechanism, access and availability. The factors that can influence this behavior could be things like education fulfillment, economics, insurance coverage, general health, and access to prevention programs.
First, substance abuse is common throughout the U.S along with different ethnic groups. The biggest issue with this terrible addiction is not only the effect it has on the individual but on their families, friends, and other people around them. Incidents …show more content…

They have developed a program called PBHCI (Primary and Behavioral Health Care Integration). Through this program, SAMHSA provides support to communities to coordinate and integrate primary care services into publicly funded, community-based behavioral health settings (samhsa.org). They have created two organizations that work specially with Hawaiian and Pacific Islanders dealing with substance abuse and/or mental health issues. These

This is because Guadalcanal served as a mainly as a defensive battle in the early stages of the war. The movie did not follow historical accounts of the real battle and skipped parts of the defensive stage of the battle in order for the film to be more action packed. The director chose to move right away to the defensive in order to entertain viewers like othe Hollywood movies . Although the director did not follow history as it actually happened. We can assume he portrayed the difficulties the soldiers faced during the war. However, Malick’s biggest mistake involved the way he depicted the difficulties soldiers faced.
