Harry S. Truman was born on May 8, 1884, he lived in a farm community in Missouri. His father was John Truman and he worked as a livestock trader, he died in 1914. His mother was Martha Young Truman who died in 1947. He received his middle initial “S” in order to honor his grandfather's, it did not stand for any specific name. Truman and his family moved to Independence, Missouri in order for Truman to attend school in 1890, he became a strong student. When Truman got older he had long thrived to attend the U.S. military academy at West Point, since he did not have very good eyesight, this prevented him from being admitted. This was his childhood classmate. During the same year he married Wallace, he and his friend opened a men’s clothing store in Kansas City. In 1922 the store closed because of the poverty-stricken economy. He had one daughter, she grew up to be a professional singer and also an author. Truman was elected the district judge in Jackson County, Missouri and he also won the election as the county’s judge. This gave him the reputation for efficiency and integrity and then in 1930 he was reelected. Truman was elected to be apart of the U.S. Senate in 1934, he supported President Roosevelt’s New Deal programs, which helped the nation escape the Great Depression and re stabilize the economy and job opportunity. After Roosevelt died, Chief Justice gave the oath of office to Truman, so Truman became the next president. He was the 33rd President of the United States. Truman approved releasing the two atomic bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. He also came up with the Marshall Plan and enforced it, this granted billions of dollars to help stabilize the economic recovery in the European nations. Theodore Roosevelt was born on October 27, 1858 in New York City, New York in the United States. Theodore was the second child of four children in a wealthy, upper-class family. Theodore’s father was a businessman and philanthropist. Theodore’s mother was also born from an affluent family. Starting at a very early age, Theodore suffered from a heavy case of asthma and had horrible eyesight throughout his whole life. He did a lot of physical activity and developed a very strong physique. Despite physical barriers, Theodore had a very strong outlook on life and was very strong physically and mentally. Theodore was also very intelligent and he attended Harvard College and Columbia Law School.

John Calvin Coolidge, soon to be the 30th president of the United States, was born on Independence Day, 1872 in Plymouth Notch, Vermont. His father, who was also named John Calvin Coolidge Sr. was a hard working farmer, storekeeper, and businessman. Coolidge Sr. cared for his son after his wife died of tuberculosis when Calvin was just twelve. Abigail Grace Coolidge, Calvin's younger sister died when she was just fifteen, a few years after their mother had died. After Coolidge graduated Black River Academy, he went on to study law at Amherst College, Massachusetts, then passing his bar exam in 1897, which is an exam students must take before they can become attorneys. There have been many leaders throughout history, but two leaders that are most well known are Harry S. Truman and Julius Caesar. Both of them are remembered as great leaders who served in the military and had large military influence. When someone thinks of Harry S. Truman they will more than likely think of the two atomic bombs dropped on Japan, or the close relationship he always maintained between himself and his family. Some may remember Truman only because of the wars he had the United States involve in during his presidency, but overall he is seen as one of the best leaders that America has ever had.On the other hand when one remembers Julius Ceasar they think of backstabbing, a shakespearean play, and a tyrant who only wished to wage war to benefit himself. Unlike Truman, Caesar is not remembered as much of a leader but more for the wars he raged and how he looked on himself as immortal. This paper will overview both Truman and Caesar’s life before they ruled, their military experience, and the political influences they had while leading over their countries. Julius Caesar may be well known for his brilliance on the battlefield, but his overall leadership abilities comes no where near those of Harry Truman.

Thomas Jefferson was interested in being a scientist, after learning that there was no opportunity for a career in science in Virginia he then studied law. In 1767, Thomas Jefferson was admitted to the bar in 1769, when Jefferson public career started he already owned more than twenty-five hundred acres that he inherited from his father who died in 1757. After marring his wife Martha Wayles Skelton whom was a young widow his property doubled. After the death of Martha’s parents, his property doubled again.
There are many opinions surrounding the question: Was the decision by Truman to drop the atomic bomb ultimately the right or wrong decision? Not only can this question be answered in many different ways, it can be interpreted in many different ways as well. Overall, Truman ultimately made the right decision to drop the atomic bomb. This can be supported by the fact that the atomic bomb helped prevent the deaths of American troops, saved the lives of foreign citizens, and in comparison the atomic bomb was not as destructive as the firebombing in Tokyo.

President Harry S. Truman’s decision to procedure atomic weapons against the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki was simply one of the most debatable decisions in history. President Truman gave the forward motion to drop the atomic bomb on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
