Once a Vice President of the United States of America, Hubert H. Humphrey said “The greatest gift of life is friendship, and I have received it.” In the novel Harry Potter Sorcerer's Stone, by J.K Rowling, Harry Potter has been sent to a new school of wizardry and witchcraft and has gotten a new and very different life. Having a new life is just like throwing your old life in the trash. Even though you try to change there is always a chance of having something worse or something better.

He has helped his friends in many ways, such as when he saved Hermione from the twelve foot ogre. “There are some things you can't share without ending up liking each other, and knocking out a twelve-foot mountain troll is one of them. (Rowling 160) Also when Draco threw Neville’s memory ball into the air and Harry flies and catches it. Also his friends have also helped him a lot. When they were trying to stop “Snape” Ron and Hermione helped with each of their strong points to get through the chambers. An example is when Ron was willing to sacrifice his life at the wizard chess chamber. “You see it, don't you, Harry? Once I make my move, the Queen will take me. Then you're free to check the King.” (Rowling 204) Also the teachers have shown different views on Harry. Professor Snape showed dislike towards Harry while the other professors have liked Harry Potter.
