Halt is Will’s teacher and mentor. Halt is brave and strong-willed; however, he also has a big ego. Will is the protagonist of the series, the so-called ranger’s apprentice. Will is a kind-hearted man, with the strength of a horse. In many ways, the two men are quite similar. They are both brave, there are many moments where this trait is shown. When the pirate shot a bullet at the Evelyn he jumped infront of her. Will shows this trait as he does things for other people even though I might harm him. I think this runs throw the blood of a Ranger, living to help others and devote your self to your giver. Despite all the similarities there are also many differences. Halt has the biggest ego ever he always wants to be the best and want to look the best. On the other hand Will is a gentle and kind hearted man that's wants to help other and not brag. This occurred when Will was dueling a warrior, Will was being nice and being a good sport when he won but when Halt won he screamed out that he was the best. The fact that Halt has the biggest ego ever surprised me. The next difference is, Will uses his heart to fight while Halt uses his brain. What this means is that when Will is fighting he just does what feels right while Halt actually thinks about his moves and plans everything
