Compare and contrast essay The facts are simple: getting your hair cut and going to the dentist are two totally different topics. One is just any other thing someone has to do when their hair gets to long, and the other is an actual fear for some people. One could actually excite someone and the other is absolutely dreadful to even think about. But if we step back and look at the topics we can find some similarities in the two. When going to get a hair cut, at least for me, it feels like I'm gunna get some weight lifted off my shoulders and that's it. I pay and go home looking fresh. And just thinking of the blood curdling sound of drill digging it's way into my tooth/gums. But that's okay because before that the dentist just put a giant needle in my mouth and pumped what felt like a gallon of Novocain into my gums completely numbing the side of my face. Now as we can see from my own experiences going to the dentist and getting a hair cut are significantly different things. But I'd also like to bring to light the similarities between these two different subjects. For example like I said before going to the dentist can be painful which means it's also, in a way, dangerous, the same is certain for getting a hair cut. As we sit in that chair looking into the mirror we see the barber hacking away the strands with scissors and we never really notice that it's kind of a hazard to have scissors that close to our face and ears. And when we hear the buzzing sound of the "clippers" detailing the edges of our hair, around our ears and the back of our neck, also quite the hazard, at any second could snip a little piece of ear or the back of
