Bang! A crime scene is in the local apartment, blood coats the walls, and a man lies dead with a bullet in his head. It is all about killing, a topic that leads commonly to this thought is Gun Control. Many people think that guns should be banned to all the population, others think that guns should be kept how they are. The real question here is; Are guns a big enough problem to be banning them? Or are we looking at something much deeper?
When talking about Gun Control, people tend to get very defensive. Many people have had relatives die to gun killings, and look at it as the guns do the killing. How exactly can a gun kill someone though? That’s right, they can’t. A common phrase heard around, that no one knows who said it first, “Guns don’t kill people, people kill people.” The phrase is entirely true, but people still don’t see it as the truth. The gun doesn’t control where it shoots, the person does. So why do these people insist on hating guns? People are scared of guns, because they don’t know enough about how they have been used. People don’t know about guns defensive uses, but they do know about the crimes they are used in. A resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institution said,
…If these events were really happening, wouldn't we hear about them on the news? Many people tell me that they have never heard of an incident of defensive gun use. There is a good reason for their confusion. In 2001, the three major television networks -- ABC, CBS, and NBC -- ran 190,000 words' worth of gun-crime stories on their morning and evening national news broadcasts. But they ran not a single story mentioning a private citizen using a gun to stop a crime.
The print media was almost as biased: The New York Times ran 50,745 words on ...

..., though they may be skewed against, guns should not be banned. Guns save lives when used by good people, yet can take lives if used by bad people. If mankind could just look a little bit deeper, and listen to those who know what they are saying, we could solve what has caused such uproar. Look at the status of your people; protect and care for those who have trouble on their own, because they are the ones who will cause nearly every use of guns in a bad way. For those who just don’t know how a gun works, they can learn how to safely use guns so that they do not cause a problem. Don’t blame the guns; they don’t act on their own. To blame an object that doesn’t act on its own would be like blaming a hole for filling with water.
