Fix Mindset is when a person thinks that intelligence is already determined, and that they can’t grow as individual. As result this kind of mindset make them feel afraid; that makes them not reach their full potential. On the other hand, the person who has a growth mindset believe that they can grow in intellectually by effort, dedication, and learning. A person who has a growth mindset knows, that success can be achieved, through labor and dedication. Carol Dweck, a researcher, stated that:
“in a study of 373 students who transitioned from 6 grade into grade 7, these were 13-year-olds. The students who had fixed mindset and the students who had growth mindset had the same identical scores for a math test at the beginning of 7th grade, but after two years there was a gap, which was being created between the students who had growth mindset and fixed mindset. The change was this: the students who had fixed mindset, their attitude towards school was to look smart, act smart, and avoid the tasks which they don’t know. If we look at the other spectrum, the students who had a growth mindset, their motto is to learn at all cost.”

At this moment in time, I consider myself to be in a combination between fixed and growth mindset. For example, write and English was the most disliked subject to me last year because I struggled in it, but at the same time I wanted to improve myself. But there was this fear in my heart; if I would be able actually surmount obstacle or not. Then I met Mr. Bernstein I told him how struggled with English, and he told me that I was work to hard. As a result, I was making myself exhausted, and that why I wasn't able to perform well.
