Obtaining my bachelor’s degree has been one of the greatest and proudest accomplishments in my life. Not only because I reached a milestone in my life plan, but also because I am ready to start a new chapter in my life. Starting graduate studies is currently the main focus of my life and what I yearn to do. My aim for graduate school is to not only expand my knowledge and skills but also to make a difference in the Psychology field and the world. I want to be able to give back to my family and to my community by becoming a qualified expert on the discipline. I aspire to be a successful professional doing what I love the most, helping and assisting others. I know that graduate studies will lead me to my objective.
Ever since I was in High School, I have always liked Psychology and what the field offered. It was in college when I realized Psychology was my calling, where I wanted work for good. Cognition and human anatomy captivate me, especially how the brain plays an important part in our behavior and how we act. That is why I decided to aspire for a career in the Psychology field, mainly in the neuroscience and behavior area. It is indisputable, that graduate school is an important part in that formation. That is why I chose to apply to the Ponce Health Sciences University Masters in Science in School Psychology program because I know and believe that this program is a step towards my ultimate goal. My long-term plans are to obtain a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with post-graduate studies in Pediatric Neuropsychology.
