Over the years, technology has advanced significantly and will only continue to improve. Not only does technology play a significant role in peoples’ lives, people depend on it in order to function daily. Technology has negatively affected peoples’ way of thinking as well as their communication skills. The human mind does not work as much as it should because there is the internet to do all the work.
The internet is the gateway to finding shortcuts and easy access to answers and solutions. Search engines such as Google, provide answers within seconds. As Google can provide answers for anything, it causes people to become stupid because they solely depend on what the internet says. In other words, what Graff is trying to say is, Google is able shorten the length of an assignment to half of its expected finish time because all the answers are provided on a screen. Graff is correct about Google making people stupid, but people will only grow to be less intelligent because they rely on the internet to do all the hard work.
