Gizmo and his friends deserve to have a park in which to run, play and enjoy with its owners. A dog park will provide a much needed place for people to take their pets to enjoy the outdoors. Given the fact that two-thirds of the cities residents are renters with very little private yard space, it seems this would be the most logical answer to allow our furry friends the benefits of the outdoors without having to be on the cities leash law. Exercise, improved mental well-being and socializing will decrease the animals bad behaviors and in turn, provide a safer place for our entire community as well as increase property values. Rental houses make up 68% of our cities residents, which typically have little to no private yard, and because of the cities laws to be on-leash in public areas is the main reason the dog park would be so beneficial. …show more content…

Although people who are opposed to the dog park because of possible noise issues, should consider that dogs will bark and become aggressive in their homes, and this is more of a community neusance. More than one-third of all Americans who own dogs often look for dogs parks when choosing where to live, as it provides a safe place for their animals to play.
