Recommended: Introduction to the benefits of volunteering

Giving back to my community is so engaging to me, to meet different people around my community, helping out with clean ups or events such as the christmas parade, mayor reception, fall festive, etc. putting smiles on people's faces to hear people compliment you about what you're doing out here I was able to get out and engaged within my community thanks to my organization called R.O.C.K. which stands for recusing our community with knowledge. We volunteer to be in the christmas parade for two years or three years holding the banner for the winning floats and being in the parade itself singing christmas songs passing out candy, it’s very cold doing it being freezing but I have fun doing it. After working so hard giving back to our community they give back to us, we took a trip to Atlanta Georgia with the officers of the sheriff's department to watch the battle of the bands since then I have been to the battle of the band's three years straight, our first time to Atlanta and to have that experience I never know what the battle of the band was until that moment it was a wonderful experience we fell in love with the bands and Atlanta. We went to a basketball game in orlando to see the magics that was also done by the sheriff's officers, that was my first time at a offical basketball game when though they lost I still had a great time watching and enjoying that experience. We went to official football games like the jacksonville jaguars I never been to a jaguars game after that experience I went back two more times even though every time I went they lost it was still a great experience and

    The service experience that I enjoyed the most was the Festivice. The Festivice is run by the Special Olympics of York County and was held on January 16, 2016 in downtown York. While I was volunteering at the Festivice, my friends and I had to run the ice sled and supervise kids going on the bouncy house.     This year I have served 74 hours for Learner Leadership Council, 27 hours for National Charity League and 17 hours for New Tech High at Coppell. One of my favorite places to volunteer is at Cornerstone Closet where homeless adults come to get needed items and take showers. We get to help them find clothes, and necessities and spend time talking with them. Another organization that I spend a great deal of time serving in the summertime is Metrocrest.
