Animal farm is a fable written by the extraordinary novelist George orwell, the novelist that stood by the animals throughout animal farm. Animal farm describes and represents the Russian revolution that has occurred in 1917. Many events and themes are discussed in this novel such as revolution and corruption, class warfare, power, idealism vs realism and many more. The animals live in a very bad environment in the farm since their farmer is a corrupt excessive drinker that is forced to leave the farm by the animals, also, old major the wisest most sensible pig who leads the rest of the animals passes away and since then Napoleon the corrupt leader is in charge, he uses the method of terror and propaganda to get what he wants since none of …show more content…

Some examples of the governmental systems that are evident in the novel and that had an affect on the farms development are “ if she (clover) herself had had any picture of the future, it had been of a society of animals set free from hunger and the whip.” (page 64) “there were very times when it seemed to the animals that they worked longer hours and fed no better than they had done in jones’s day.” (page 66) The first quote gives an example on how the leaders and the government are a drawback and have no role in developing the farm as clover always imagined that since the corrupt farmer left the farm things are going to be on much better terms especially that the idealist old major planted the idea of equality and love between all of the animals however real life is the total opposite of that, quoting clover it became a society ruled by a whip and filled with hungry animals. The second quote shows how the pigs (the leaders) pointed fingers and gave orders instead of working with the other animals making the animals feel that the days are longer and they're working much harder. The rulers use propaganda to make the animals believe that they are working for their benefit but the leaders were only benefiting them selves. This can be linked to corruption and war. The abuse of power of Napoleon and the leaders led to the events and to the mimic warfare the farm is going through. These events are leading to the drawback of the farm and are resulting in the rapid decrease of sustainable development in the farm since the governmental systems are weak and corrupt creating many conflicts causing the farm to become under
