George Lucas is an incredible film director. He has created some of the most memorable movies. How did George Lucas become a film director, and why did he create these movies.George Lucas said,”I’ve always been interested in where we come from,who we are and what’s happened; obviously history has some great stories”.

George Lucas was born May 14, 1944 in Modesto, California, USA. He was born on a ranch and was the son of a small-town stationer and a mother who was often hospitalised for long periods of time. Lucas was an early reader of classic adventure stories such as Robinson Crusoe and Treasure Island. He was also a comic book collector.When he was nine there was a series of books called landmark books. He started reading them, and he ended up over the next four years with a whole collection. George Lucas Said after his accident,”I wanted to race cars. I didn't like school, and all I wanted to do was work on cars. But right before I graduated, I got into a really bad car accident, and I spent that summer in the hospital thinking about where I was heading. I decided to take education more seriously and go to a community college”.He created his first feature film Electronic Labyrinth THX 1138 4EB in his last year of high school which took first prize at the National Student Film Festival.
