Why is generosity important? Generosity should be Being generous can make people feel great because they feel like they made someone happy. Generosity is one of the most important traits that my family taught me. Doing good deeds with good intentions will lead to beneficial results. Generosity is being nice and not expecting something in return. At a young age, I learned about generosity. The adults in my family taught me how to be generous. My dad has always helped out his family and people with money problems. For instance, my dad sends money to his siblings, grandsons, and granddaughters that are in Mexico. My dad has always helped out our family members, but he doesn't send money as often because sometimes our family members don’t pay him back. They say that they have the money to pay him when he goes, but by the time that we go to Mexico our family …show more content…

For instance, when we go to Mexico my dad always buys at least one clothing item for everyone in the family. There's a lot of family member, so my dad spends hundreds of dollars every time we buy clothes for our family. Sometimes some of our family members don’t appreciate what we bought them, so my dad gets mad at them and tells them “if you don’t want it, then leave it someone else can appreciate what I give them”. My dad also spends a lot of money when we are in Mexico because he pays for the food and bus that he rents, so that the whole family can go to the beach. I am also generous with my siblings. For example, when my dad is not home on the weekend I go buy food for my brother and I. Sometimes, I get Starbucks for my older brother even though I don’t really want to drive there because of the traffic in downtown or when I am out with my friends he texts me if I can bring him something to eat after I am done hanging out with them.
