The stereotypes about different people have been there since a long time ago. In the society we live in now the skin color you were born in, gender and social status represent a lot about who you will be in the future and how people will see you. In Dangerous Minds there is a great message that is that everyone has the potential to succeed but they need the support. In most movies the Latinos and Black people are the low income, gang members, crazy, do not care about school and other stereotypes that media shows. The media labels the individuals by how they think they are even if they do not know the culture. The video of Danger Of A Single Story is similar to the movie Dangerous Minds because the teachers of the school have a story in mind about how the students have to act and who has the authority there. …show more content…

In Dangerous Minds LouAnne Johnson walks into the class filled with minority students who were labeled unteachables, she is a white woman that used to be in the Marines. The students at first show her that they do not like her and because she has not been in their shoes she should not say they have a choice. To motivate them she gave them all an A grade from the beginning of the year and the only thing they had to do was to keep the A.
