Recommended: Concussions in football research paper

The year 1997 and soccer players were selected from the data set for further analysis for both males and females. I believe that there is no relationship between gender identity and concussion occurrence due to the nature of the sport. Soccer is known to be a less physical sport, making the occurrence of a concussion less likely for soccer players.

A table of the observed values is seen below describing who and who did not receive a concussion for all soccer players in 1997.

A corresponding table of expected values is seen below:

According to the expected values chart female soccer players are supposed to experience 37.96 concussions compared to the 51 observed, and male soccer players are expected to experience 47.04 concussions compared
