With crimes going on all around there needs to be some way to solve the crimes. There are many different aspects and objects needed to solve an unsolved crime. Data needs to be discovered and evaluated. Among the data is also many types of clues like fingerprints, media, source of death, etc.: Further more, all of these diverse tasks one person can't do it all. This is where the category of forensic sciences come into play. Criminalist forensics, forensic toxicology, forensic pathology, anthropology, and digital and multimedia forensics are the main sciences that are needed to put the puzzle pieces of a case back together. …show more content…

Immediately upon the criminalists' arrival, they " must be careful not to contaminate the scene by introducing outside substances to it."( Innes, 2005, p.6) the crimes stage is protected by the criminalists wearing sterilized throw away garments and using special tools to pick up the evidence. Thereafter the scene has been sealed off from pedestrians, criminalists will then search the area for anything abnormal lying around and will collect the evidence( Innes, 2005).
