Famous families are becoming the ‘norm’ in Hollywood. Famous parents have brought their children to the public’s eye, generally through photography. A child should not be forced into their famous parent’s limelight. Young children are being forced into the public’s eye through paparazzi that take photos without permission while disturbing privacy and personal space. Many children with famous parents have become famous themselves, them then being successful raises their parent’s expectations of them. Children that are exposed to the limelight get a false sense of reality in regards to being spoon fed everything in life.
Paparazzi have been known for forcefully taking photos of celebrities and their families while intruding their privacy. Many babies with celebrity parents are forced into the limelight due to the paparazzi. Recently, North West who is the daughter of Rapper Kanye West and Kim Kardashian who is a social media personality and a fashion designer has come into the public’s eye. North was kept out of the public’s eye for the first few months of her life. Once photos were released by Kim the paparazzi took advantage of this, now there are many photos of North being held by Kim which is considered to be a rare sight. Not only is North being forced into the limelight by the paparazzi but Kim and Kanye’s parenting skills are being tested and judged. The paparazzi have not gotten out of hand in front of North and generally keep their distance. The photos that have been released by Kim on social media sights such as Instagram or Twitter have been focused on Kim and North’s relationship. Tom is known for his connection with Scientology, which states that children are to be treated as adults. Is it the false sense of reality or the stereotype that many famous parents portray of being a good human that is giving Suri the power to control her parent’s lives?
Paparazzi and success can fill a child’s mind with a false sense of reality, the limelight should be for adults and people of an age that can tolerate the demand of the public not for a child. The limelight is a negative influence of the children of famous parents and it is generally forced onto them. Whether it is through social media, paparazzi, their own success or affiliation the child should have a say in whether they want to be world known or remain to have a normal life.
