An analysis of For the Love of Books “Don't judge a book by its cover” This is a common saying, many people pick up books by what they see. This is not a good way to find a book to read, through doing this then you don't find the good books but instead the books that have a good picture that goes on the top. One woman that had a great passion for reading books. She never liked reading them for a project but she had a love for just sitting down and reading a great book. This woman's name is Rita Dove(b 1952) she did a lot of fun reading and writing as a little girl. One thing most people are great at later in life with what they love to do. Rita Dove wrote an essay named, For the Love of Books, I enjoyed this east because she uses great vocabulary, all of her stories are relatable, and the way that she talks about how she loved reading and even when it was hard books.
First of all the adjectives that are used are great and create a great picture. All of the stories that she tells make it so that I can perfectly picture what is happening. When you do something you love then you will spent all of your time doing it. Which is why most athletes spent most of their time doing what they love. Even when the sets were hard, they still push themselves to do better and too achieve greatness. Dove explains this in her essay, she shares a moment in her childhood. Dove stated, “I found beautiful but rather adult; and finally wandered into the plays- first Romeo and Juliet” Even in about third grade she picked up William Shakespeare, which is a hard read for anyone let alone a third grader.
