Statement of Purpose “I Can, I Will and I Must” The above words have always been a key point behind my learning. It has helped me frame my targets so far. My passion towards Mechanical Engineering started in my seventh class. I was introduced to the world of physics by a Sir who taught physics very interestingly by giving real life examples and making us to think rather than just applying mere formulas. Thanks to his way of teaching, I started enjoying Physics in my own way and creating virtual problems. With that interest, I chose Mechanical Engineering in my under graduation. This wonderful course introduced me to subjects like Engineering Mechanics, Applied Thermodynamics, Fluid Dynamics, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning, and Automobile Engineering which are a few special interests of mine. I would like to share some information on my educational background and what I have achieved so far. Throughout my education, I have always managed to stay as an excellent student for every institution I studied in, including my Bachelors program at ‘Deccan College of Engineering And Technology (DCET)’. My fascination towards the course helped me greatly in understanding the concepts behind the courses that I took and made me realise the working of the real world. With excellent support from its faculty and outstanding facilities, I did well in every semester, but be that as it may, due to a bad timing of flu I had an arrear in my first year of bachelor’s. Ever since I was a child, I have had a great interest for the automotive industry. From car trivia to novel innovations, my innate passion for the automotive industry has always made me research the minutest detail of every vehicle that interested me. Since elementary school I would draw sketches of cars which incorporated technology which were unheard of at that time; novel devices such as electrochromic windshields, HUD displays, and wind turbines which would constantly re-generate electricity for the car. While growing up, my hobbies largely consisted of constructing countless Lego and Meccano sets, and repairing my mom’s 19 year-old car. In middle school, math and science were my favorite subjects: applying science and mathematics to solve real-world problems has fascinated me and I have also taken further steps to reach my goals. By the age of thirteen I devised a scaled model of a heliostat power plant, which successfully powered a light bulb. I chose to gather information about mechanical engineering because I would like to pursue a career in this field. mechanical engineering is a broad subject with countless definitions at best it is simply the analyzation and creation of moving mechanisms. My grandfather always pushed me to be an engineer, because of him I've learned to do well in math and enjoy taking things apart and putting them back together. It is important to understand the education or training requirements, skills or talents needed, salary and benefits offered, and the duties of a mechanical engineer when making this decision.
I want you to think back to what might be the greatest invention ever. Dependant upon how well you know your history you could possibly say the wheel, the car, the airplane, the television, the autonomous robot. All of these are great ideas that have different eras in history, but they all have something in common, these creations were all invented by engineers. Do not get the misconception that engineers have been around since the dawn of time but the concept of engineering itself has. Those great revolutionaries all had ideas and solved problems which are still qualities that engineers of this day and age use. Webster defines engineering as, “the work of designing and creating large structures or new products or systems by using scientific methods.” Those people created new products so they would today be considered engineers, but they are slightly different. What makes them different is the field that they would be considered a part of. The broadest one of the oldest forms is mechanical engineering, which is my future profession.
