History
The first football helmet invented was made in 1940, which was also around when the
game of football was invented. The first helmet made was not really a helmet. It was a
leather cap worn on your head and it really didn’t do much to protect the head.
Around the 1950s, brain injury’s where beginning to become a concern because there were
more injuries at the same time the game of football was growing in America. That was when
the plastic football helmet was invented. It was really the same as the leather helmet but
plastic. Brain injuries where reduced but not completely eliminated. A year or two later in
1953, the facemask was added to the football helmet to provent facial injuries. At first, only
one bar was added

Some helmets with the concussion technology don’t always do their job.
They may prevent head on head collisions but when a player hits their head on the ground,
the helmet cannot prevent the brain from moving around.
“The study found that football helmets on average reduced the risk of traumatic brain
injury by only 20 percent compared to not wearing a helmet. Of the 10 helmet brands tested,
the Adams a2000 provided the best protection against concussion and the Schutt Air
Advantage the worst. Overall, the Riddell 360 provided the most protection against closed
head injury and the Adams a2000 the least, despite rating the best against concussion.”

If I could improve the football helmet, I would have to ad padding n the back of the
helmet. Yes, there is already some there but I don’t think its enough knowing that most
concussions in football are caused by a back of the head hit on the ground after
America’s newfound favorite pastime, football, came from a bizarre chain of events. Football started when a soccer player got fed up with just kicking the ball, so he picked up the ball and ran to the goal. His actions of picking up the ball and running with it fathered a new European sport, rugby, which was soon brought over to American shores, and was altered slightly, the shape of the ball and a few other small rules. The sport became organized into a league and produced the NFL(National Football League). The NFL had a slow beginning, but has picked up popularity, currently having a $9 billion yearly revenue.
Flag football was created in 1933, and was played by many military officers by the 1940s. The soldiers could not play tackle football due to the risk of injure. The officers needed to be uninjured for battles. When the officers went back home to their families they brought flag football home with them. Early leagues began in the 1960s and the first flag football association was formed. The National Touch Football League changed the rules to touching being the way to “tackle” a player instead of the grabbing the flag. Flag football infiltrated colleges and championships started to be held by various universities. Flag football went pro in 1997 and the Professional Flag Football League, Inc. was formed.
First, the rules that are enforced are a great way of making the game safe for the players. There are rules like, not being allowed to tackle certain ways. For example, if you tackle someone from the back by pulling them, then that is said to be an illegal tackle. It is also said that it is illegal for someone to pull on others facemask when tackling. There are many others rules that are enforced in the game. Another one is the rule that says, Head to Head is not allowed. What that basically is that you cannot tackle someone by contacting your helmet to the opposing player. This rule makes it greatly safe because it reduces the numbers of injuries that occur to the head and the neck. The head is the key part of the human body. When someone hits another player with the helmet in the head, it reduces the risks of concussion and that can result to serious and severe body failures, including being...
Is there any protective equipment besides helmets that football players should be wearing to prevent concussions?
The National Football League was formed on August 20, 1920. Players wore pads, not quite as protective as the ones today, helmets and legs pads. Even though their protective gear wasn 't all that protective they still made contact with the players of the opposing teams. As the years progressed the league made many changes to the rules due to player safety. They invented better protective gear for the players and they also made more strict rules regarding playing guidelines. The main goal of those rules, like the targeting rule that is so controversial today, is to protect the players. The targeting rule itself states that no player shall target and initiate contact against an opponent with the crown of his helmet, when in

Next, on November 12, 1892 came the first professional level game played between the Allegheny Athletic Association and the Pittsburgh Athletic Club. Finally, in 1920, the American Professional Football Association became the country’s first organized football league. Back then, the game resembled rugby more than the current game of football. Over time, the rules have been constantly changing in order to boost the excitement level and increase the game’s safety. The first of safety rules came in 1938 when they established roughing the passer, which prevented the defense from hitting the passer after he threw the ball. This was directly to protect the quarterback. Next, in 1943, helmets became mandatory for all players on the field. This was the first step to helping protect the wellness of the players’ heads, even though they were unaware of the seriousness of hits to the head and any long term
In the modern day United States the sport American football has become not only entertainment but also a tradition whether it’s watching the BCS college championship or watching the super bowl with the family. The sport of American football is unique to the United States and has grown and became iconic over the years and has become a part of many Americans lives. American Football was made in 1869 and was modeled after the sport of rugby. They took the basics of rugby and changed it to make it fit better for them. The game has changed over the years but it also affected many Americans as the tradition of Monday Night football has begun. The game has had problems with the United States government as it was said to be too dangerous to play, this lead to an upgrade in the equipment and they tried very hard to make the equipment well ensuring player safety throughout the sport.
Have you ever known somebody who was injured in a car accident? What do you think his attitude about seat belts was after they saved his life? If you knew that a seat belt would save your life, you would buckle up! It took years of legislation and public awareness campaigns to make seat belt use mandatory. Now a new topic regarding public safety is coming to light: people are dying or becoming seriously injured in seemingly minor accidents on bicycles when the rider's head strikes the concrete. When the head is unprotected "the brain continues to move in a forward motion while the skull stops moving" (Macyko1), causing trauma. What is needed is a way to protect the brain "by absorbing the energy from the impact, buying extra time for the brain to slow down" (Macyko1). Bicycle riders need to wear helmets to protect their brains from injury, yet unfortunately the public is simply not aware of this need and many people will continue to die or be seriously injured unless something is done. Bicycle helmets save lives and should be required by Arizona State law for riders of all ages.
In football, players must wear a large set of pads, covering most of their body, and a masked helmet. The ball is made up of an inflated rubber bladder, surrounded by stitched leather, and it appears ellipsoidal in shape. Most players now wear cleated or spiked shoes, but flat-soles are often worn for artificial turf surfaces.
“Use your head! Use your helmet!” Helmets does not only improve people’s lives but it saves people’s lives. When we crash our bikes, the amount of damage we receive is divided into 2: how fast we stop and how concentrated the force is. Without helmets, our heads then experience an incredible amount of concentrated force. Our skull is less likely to be broken. The foam in the helmet compresses which allows our head to come to a stop much slower since it reduces the acceleration. Force = mass x acceleration so it reduces the force. Helmets absorb some of the impact of collisions and it also protects our head against scrapes and scratches. Scientists study dead athletes to study about helmets to discover something new that could improve people’s lives.
not a luxury, so people of every class will be compelled to buy our product. We will pilot run our product and the result is successful. A motorcycle helmet is a type of protective headgear used by motorcycle riders. The primary goal of a motorcycle helmet is safety, to protect the rider's head during impact, thus preventing or reducing head injury and saving the rider's life. All over the world laws and regulations require cyclists to wear a helmet in certain circumstances, typically when riding on the road. In Pakistan there are many accidents that occur while attending phone calls during riding which cause serious accidents because while attending the call the rider takes support of their shoulder which divides their attention
