Kylie, I do agree that case studies are time consuming and take the majority of classroom time. I find the flipped classroom method to be very beneficial but for the middle school and high school setting. Teacher involvement still needs to be high for the case study method to be successful but it still creates promotion of independent learning. I do see that the case study method would not be very beneficial if the students did not feel interested in the subject. It would be similar to our class doing one on a knee replacement surgery rather than pulmonary fibrosis. We would probably be more enthusiastic to do pulmonary fibrosis than a knee replacement surgery. It would be interesting to see a study based on these two types of methods to
