The fitness assessment showed that I am mostly average. My body max index was healthy, and I was below the population average. Normally being below the average doesn't mean it is good but with BMI it is. With the rest of my assessments I was above the average. I felt that I was a little low on my scores for the push-up test, the sit-up test and the sit and reach. My goal was to be more than average. My score for my walk test was good and I wasn't disappointed with it. I was happy with my walk test results. I obtained a score of 84 and I was expending a little over 12 METs. In my opinion, I feel like I walk at a faster pace when I am not on a treadmill. On an average day on the treadmill, I walk a mile in about eighteen minutes. On the track …show more content…

I thought my flexibility was more than it was. I was still above average, and it scored second highest, but I still believed I was more flexible. My average flexibility most likely comes from me not stretching. I have never thought much of stretching and feel like it is a waste of time. Overall, I could use improvement. I went into the assessments thinking I was above average and I was really fit and healthy for the most part. These tests were an eye opener. My results show I am better than most, but I definitely have room for improvement. An easy fix to improving my sit and reach results would be stretching more frequently. As of now, I only stretch when my muscles are little more sore than normal. Some stretches I could do would be bending over and touching my toes and eventually the floor. Deadlifts would be another beneficial move to improve my flexibility in my hamstrings. To improve my run/walk test results I will have to put in more effort into running and gaining more speed. There are a couple ways I hope to accomplish this. I want to do more interval training. Sprinting for a certain amount of time and then resting for a short time and continuing that process for a certain amount of time. I also want to incorporate hills in my running to help with my
