The names of characters that come to mind when trying to find one that exhibits interesting characteristics and an individual personality are endless. So here I sit, searching the files in my brain for one that nobody else could possible have written about. After some time, I conclude that Dory, originally from the movie Finding Nemo and most recently from her own original flick, Finding Dory, would do just fine, even though I may not be the first one that is newly in love with her character even more than before.
In Finding Nemo, Dory quickly becomes a big part of the story. She aids in rescuing Nemo even though she has no idea what is going on most of the time. She constantly repeats herself, telling the same story multiple times due to her …show more content…

This allows Dory to maintain a positive mindset for the most part. She occasionally gets stuck while thinking about why she doesn’t have any family. When she is asked about her family, she does not seem to recollect any information about them and almost seems like she is not terribly worried about what the answer is. Dory seems to have accepted the fact that she is destined to just live her life by herself and that is the mindset that she starts each day with. On top of having a mental condition that makes life very difficult for her, she is forced from an early age to deal with these difficulties by herself. The pressure of this is very likely to cause her to suppress her hardship and her memories. By doing this, she is then able to live her life as if it is all that was meant for her. She is then able to continue each day basically carelessly without much of a long-term plan. In the end, I do believe that a realistic outcome would not have involved her being able to remember everything that led her to find her parents, but it was a great story nonetheless. Like many other movie characters, Dory is one of a kind and the personality traits that make her who she is are undeniable unique. Understanding these traits makes it easier to relate to her reasons for going on her big journey and why it was so important for her to find her
