The Notebook
The Notebook was a phenomenal film with incredible performances and many heartfelt moments from beginning to end. It is a love story that many of us fantasize of living someday. And although the movie has its good points, this movie also sets a bad example for some people. The Notebook takes place during the 1940s in North Carolina. It is a complicated love story between two teenage lovers named Noah Calhoun, a country boy, and Allie Nelson, a rich girl, who meet each other at a local carnival. They fall desperately in love, but Allie’s parents do not approve of their relationship, mainly because Noah does not live a wealthy lifestyle like them. ( Holden). It seems like the author Nicholas Sparks is saying that it is okay to stalk and be obsessive over a woman. This movie is indeed a classic and very well played, but in the beginning of the movie, Noah seems to be very interested in Allie, but she clearly wants nothing to do with him, Noah seems to not take no for an answer, and this seems as though he is harassing her. Another good example would be when Noah climbed up on the Ferris Wheel and threatened to kill himself by letting go if she didn’t go out with him. They both make it seem as though that they really are in a relationship and they really love each other so much. For example, when Allie was trying out dresses her for her wedding and saw a picture from the newspaper and seen that it was not only Noah but as the house he had built she explained to him how she wanted it to be when they were together and she was so starstruck and full misbelief that she fainted. She couldn 't believe that he had kept his promised, After all, the years they had split up she had proof that he still had thought about her and loved her. Another scene that was enjoyable when they were on the boat and it had rained. Although there was not much going on at first but then they had expressed their emotional feelings and they just embraced each other. However, I do wish the scene was longer and the characters had much more dialogue, but the scene was amazing and so beautiful it is one of my favorite scenes in the movie. It was so heartwarming and just made me feel all warm
