Thankfully, as far as I can tell, the fidget spinner craze has somewhat died down. My brother, Isaac, had one and I will admit that it was fun to mess around with when I was home on breaks. It had a very interesting feeling as you would hold it and move your hand around. I was home over one weekend this past Spring. I believe my parents had prior engagements so I was left home with my Isaac. He’s a great brother we just enjoy spending our time doing different things. I have been editing videos for a couple years and Isaac always liked getting to be a part of them. I had the bright idea of making a fidget spinner music video. Yea, I know, pretty goofy. It was a lot of fun though! You can watch it here: https://youtu.be/TeubuFGvXnI We had a great time putting it together and he watched me edit it, and when my parents came home they were thrilled because we were able to find some mutually entertaining thing to do. Fast forward to this past Summer. I was looking for a marketing internship. I was looking at the university job board and came across a local one. It was perfect. It offered plenty of wonderful opportunities and to dive into different areas of marketing including social media, content creation and analytics. I applied. I was always told that it is important to explore your hobbies and to share them. I told Lea, the marketing director, in the interview that I had prior experience filming and editing videos. She seemed thrilled and asked if she could see an example. So, of course I showed her the video of my brother with the fidget spinner. She laughed and thoroughly enjoyed it.
