Reading a fictional story can be enjoyable and fascinating for young kids and even adults. A fictional story can make the readers escape reality and enjoy themselves when they just need to sit down and relaxed. Fiction is not a waste of time because it’s entertaining and causes to escape reality for the readers. When I read a fiction story; I felt like I was in a different world and imagined myself as if I was in the story. Reading an action type of book would be like rollercoaster full of exciting and intense moments. For example, the book The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, is all full of intense moments and action going on. Katniss is the main character in the novel, The Hunger Games. The author of this book is Suzanna Collins. Katniss is a 16 year old who has been chosen with 23 other tributes. In my class we have studied themes and key ideas such as Power of the Capitol, Competition against other tributes and Sacrifice for what Katniss acts and does in the Hunger Games. There are many themes but I have chosen these 3 because they show the most emotions and power.
Have you ever felt you are not significant, or have no purpose? Well you do and theses novels will make you feel significant. Lord of the Flies, and a Separate Peace all make the reader feel important by letting them live a different life in the novel instead of their dull normal life. Why do we read fiction tells just what the title says, why we like fiction. Well we like to read fiction because, as this quote says, “It gives us a release from living our own dull and drab life.” We put ourselves in the story and relate it to our own life and it makes us feel more important.

In both books they share some traits, even though they may not look anything alike they are. both of these novels are dystopian novels and many characters share similarity’s.
The movie “The Hunger Games” has many similarities and relations to World Mythology. While it may not seem like this movie is as myth related as others, such as Troy and Thor, many of the themes and situations in the movie were inspired by the stories of the great myths and epics. The overall theme of the movie is courage, strength, and destiny.
In the novel The Hunger Games, by Suzanne Collins a new country is created. Panem is born in place of North America, were the Hunger Games began. In the Hunger Games, there are 24 tributes. Tributes are people who live in the districts. The tributes in the Hunger Games are all the same. They kill one another and become the Capitols puppets. The tributes become violent, emotionless puppets. Then there is Katniss. Katniss is an excellent hunter and becomes lethal during the games. However, she has not lost her compassion. Katniss does not think of herself as a good person. When in reality she is a good person with a large heart, who puts others before herself.
I unwilllingly walked through the entrance of regret and guilt. With teary eyes from what happened the night before, I didn’t know what I could say. All I thought was ‘It was an accident’ but that didn’t matter anymore.
In today’s society several powerful influences use trickery and deception to manipulate others, benefit from their losses and to attain the upper hand in a scenario. There is, undoubtedly, a clear correlation between trickery and deception however there is a slight difference that sets them apart. Deception is a set of actions fabricated to delude someone into believing a lie while trickery is the art of disguising oneself. For as long as I can remember, I have had a special place in my heart for reading. As a child, fantasy was always my go to genre. I was always excited to start a new adventure in these stories, that I quickly sped through them without a second thought. As one can imagine, its was hard to find a character that has as much of a love for books as the child reading the story might. The stories were always about the daring hero and his quest to defeat the vile villain and save the world.

We read about characters confronting life experiences in some way like our own and sometimes find ourselves caught up with the struggles of a character. Each reader gets a new and unique event and the words speak to us now, telling us the truths about human life which are relevant to all times. Literature enriches us by putting words to feelings.
