The sex ratio increases to a faster rate for urban areas than rural areas. (Sanyal S.K., 1985, page1130). Fertility varies from socioeconomic groups, more educated are supposed to have less children, thus, less urban population of rural areas than urban areas and it also varies by religion, in India there is an evidence that there is high fertility rate among Muslims than any other major religion. 1. Demography is a discipline in Ecology that deals with population measures such as, age, size and overall structure are critical to demographic work. Demography is used to help understand a populations growth pattern, although not all individuals are the same age and size or have the same survival and birth rates. Demography allows for greater depth and detail of a populations structure to be characterized and analyzed.
Gender selection will lead to distortion of society; only the rich can afford modifications. Since the rich are modified and the poor are not, the modified people will rule over the others. Social problems, such as sexism, will be genetically set in our bodies. Will there for sure be equality though? The public needs to do something about these technologies or the scientists will just keep using them. People need to come together and share their ideas and reasonings so people can reflect more on the values and worth. In India, people are speaking of sex selection as a good idea. As if manufacturing humans and their attributes is ethical. However, sex discrimination will only worsen; India already has started a gendercide of females. Women are used as guinea pigs for eugenic practices; society should be working together towards human rights and equality.
The world’s population is rising rapidly from seven billion to the estimated nine billion in 2050 (Ellis, Overpopulation is Not the Problem). Every human being adds stress to the Earth’s resources. Numerous places like Africa and China maintain a copious amount starvation and poverty. There are days when people go without food, water, or shelter. There is even such happening in the United States. In such places, it is difficult to find contraception, or birth control, which leads to unplanned pregnancies. These situations are rooted down to overpopulation, which is when there are too many humans. However, there is a multitude of ways to reverse such negative effects. Population control is a necessary act that will benefit the world through sparing natural resources, decreasing famine, and controlling unplanned pregnancies. A worldwide effort would have to take effect in order for a successful future.

Giving thanks to the new improvements in fertility treatments, American women are becoming mothers later than ever lately. Therefore, the number of women having their first child are between the ages of 40 and 44 has increased more than fourfold from 1985 through 2012, with the number of such births reaching 109,579 in 2012, according to the centers for disease control and prevention (O’Brien,2014). Women are more likely to conceive during their 20s, the cut off age for trying to conceive is 37. There should be a point where doctors tell you it’s time to stop treatments(cycles), but instead clinics will try to upsell you. What we as women do not realize is the high cost, the process, and the outcome of these fertility treatments. Sadly couples put so much into a process, and can come out with a disappointing outcome. So I myself do not stand by fertility treatments, these things can cause too much emotional distress.
The Chinese and Indian populations have grown exponentially over the last fifty years. Accompanied with this has been an increased and continuing desire for male children, which is referred to as son preference. This strong son preference has resulted in a disproportionate son ratio for both China and India, which results in a very disproportionate gender ratio. For both countries, there are several factors involved in the problem: cultural expectation, available technology, and long-term economic benefit, just to name a few. To combat the disproportionate gender ratio in China and India, it is necessary to approach the problem from several different angles; ones that will ultimately give women rights and methods to contribute to their family
For the purpose of executing the most desirable data collection, our research setting will consist of specific homeless shelters in Northeastern Ontario. For the purpose of our timeline and funding, we will be focusing on collecting data within Sudbury and surrounding areas (Manitoulin Island, Parry Sound, and North Bay). Within these settings, we will be conducting our study in local homeless shelters, supports, and nearby streets. In Sudbury, we will be conducting our study within The Samaritan Centre and the Blue Door Soup Kitchen. On Manitoulin Island we will be conducting our study within the homeless supports provided by the Manitoulin Family Resource Centre. Finally, in Parry Sound we will be doing our research within the Esprit Place

Human population growth tends to occur in developing countries, where education is poor, particularly among the women who do not want to have fewer children, and the economy is poor. These developing countries are rich with history and the women have ideologies and pressures from the surrounding communities to bear many children. Religion is also heavily practised by the nations, and in some of these religions multiple children is desired. A male may also have the right to marry several women, all of whom he has multiple children with.
The way I came up with the demographic description from the class, I looked over every single discussion boards, and What I came to find out is that, we have nineteen females in the class including my self , and nine males. The way I searched through the discussion board was by making an outline for my self on a piece of paper, I divided the paper by age, gender, religion, children, likes, racial, and what state people are living in.
When you have people in developing countries who have far too many children than they should and don’t have the means to take care of them you get overpopulation, when you get overpopulation you get less job opportunities, and when that happens you people who can’t take care of themselves or their children. Two factors have been shown that correlate with overpopulation, which is poverty and education. When you have higher education in a community you will tend to have a decrease in birth rates because when people get education especially in women you will have a decline in birth rates because when they get their education they usually want to get a good job. poverty and overpopulation in the United States. Poor living conditions and over population can cause many forms of disease and unclean living conditions, and with poor living conditions you get the spread of airborne diseases such as tuberculosis and respiratory infections such as pneumonia.
