Today’s secular women cringe at the words “modesty”, “submissive”, and “stay-at-home-mom”. Our culture is obsessed with the feminist movement. The idea of a woman having a different role than a man is disgusting to them. American women enjoy the most freedom the world over, one could argue, because of how Christianity improved the treatment of women. Even with women’s elevated status in American, arguments against the fair treatment of U.S. women are many. Included in those grievances are wage discrimination, unfair responsibility in the home, and eating disorders; showing how modern feminists have been swayed through propaganda. The women’s crusade tells us that a businesswoman is paid 77 cents to the businessman’s every dollar. Any form of this statement remains patently untrue. The media do not include details like the employee’s education, capability or job status. Nor do the media tell us that women in medicine, for example, might go into lower paying jobs like family medicine rather than pursue becoming a brain surgeon. She might have less pay due to the fact that she works part-time because she has a family. Many women are CEOs of companies; Virginia Rometty of IMB, Indra K. Leading women activists say that you just need to accept yourself. While feminists push, for instance, that it is okay to be fat, the world is shouting that women should b skinny. The Lord says that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. This does not mean we should be obsessed with our weight, etc., but we need to be conscious of and care for our bodies because we are made in the image of God.
