This experiment was initialized to find out the how lead can affect the mating behaviors of a fathead minnow. The question that was asked was, which tank (A or B) would contain lead and what effects led to lead exposure. The minnow experiment helped apprehend the effects caused by lead on other mammals and employ the results and conclusions into data that can be used to treat or diagnose human when exposed to this element. Based on data given and I conceived that, when male minnows are exposed to lead, they will be less interested and have hindered motor skills.

We cognized that majority of the behavior types for Tank B were much lower in comparison to Tank A. In only one behavior type Tank B surpassed exceedingly with Tank A, which was patrol. For nest prep the minnows performed nest prep an average of 6 times in Tank A, whilst in Tank B the minnows only performed an average of 3. In Tank A, hover had an average of 12 hovers per 5 minutes, but hovering only consisted of 8 times in Tank B. Spawn was accepted as a very rare occurrence, since none of the minnows in any tank performed spawning. In the class average Tanks A had a mean spawn of 1 and Tank B had none. For our group, number of chasing performed by male minnows in Tank A edged Tank B by a quarter. What was the most significant and very unique from the rest of the data was the patrol behavior type. In both graphs we could see that patrol was higher for Tank B instead of Tank A, which was the norm. Some of the patterns found noticeable in both graphs was how Tank A had loftier numeric values than Tank B. Patterns like this helped construct a better analysis and assumptions to make a valid conclusion. Reasoning behind the the trends could be related to the effect lead could have caused on the brain.
