American Beauty/American Psycho was an album that was sung by the band Fall Out Boy in 2015. Fall Out Boy is an alternative/indie rock band with a little hint of pop in some of their songs. This album, which is the band’s most recent album, is full of a lot of good songs and songs that maybe some people wouldn’t like. Fall Out Boy is a face-paced band, which means their songs are faced-paced. A lot of their songs could be a little hard to understand for people who don’t listen to this kind of music. The album does not have many of these types of songs, which is why it is a favorite among Fall Out Boy fans. Fall Out Boy is originally from Chicago, Illinois and is composed of four members currently. Patrick Stump (vocals), Andrew Hurley (drums), Joe Trohman (guitar), and Pete Wentz (bass, lyricist) are the men who are responsible for that signature Fall Out Boy sound. The band started in 2001 in Chicago and played until 2008 where they went on hiatus. 2008 was a sad time for their fans because they were convinced they had stopped playing, when in 2013, Fall Out Boy surprised everyone with a new album called Save Rock and Roll which was appropriately named for the band when they tried to save their rock and roll career …show more content…

“American Beauty/American Psycho” gives its meaning in the song when it says, “she’s an American beauty and I’m an American psycho.” In the video, the singer is obsessed with this pretty girl, but he knows he can’t get her because of his mental problems. He calls her an American beauty and calls himself an American psycho. The song “Centuries” is quoted as saying “Some legends are told, some turn to dust or to gold, but you will remember me for centuries.” What this means is that the singer wants to leave his mark on the world.
