Failure Analysis
Failure analysis involves analyzing the data center to identify systems that are susceptible to a single point of failure and implementing fault-tolerance mechanisms such as redundancy.

A single point of failure refers to the failure of a component that can terminate the availability of the entire system or IT service. Figure 11-4 illustrates the pos- sibility of a single point of failure in a system with various components: server, network, switch, and storage array. The fgure depicts a system setup in which an application running on the server provides an interface to the client and performs I/O operations. The client is connected to the server through an IP network, the server is connected to the storage array through a FC connection, an HBA installed at the server sends or receives data to and from a storage array, and an FC switch connects the HBA to the storage port.

Failure is not an option, this phrase rushes through everyone’s head while trying to complete a task or goal successfully. Failure is thought of a parasitic word that only successful people have not heard of. With the article “Failure is not an Option” I feel it’s very well written and I agree with much of the article when Allison Carr, the author, explains how failure can be used as a learning tool. While she also states how failure is a bad thing, or parasitic as I stated before. I really appreciated how she covered both sides of the debate. However, I think Carr should touch about grit and open mindedness. Which are the two most vital traits to have while trying to learn from your mistakes, in my opinion.
Both passages concern the same topic, the Okefenokee Swamp. Yet, through the use of various techniques, the depictions of the swamp are entirely different. While Passage 1 relies on simplicity and admiration to publicize the swamp, Passage 2 uses explicitness and disgust to emphasize the discomfort the swamp brings to visitors.
Continuous improvement (CI) refers to a philosophy consisting of improvement activities that increase successes and reduce failures in a production process (Bhuiyan & Baghel 2005, p. 761). It involves activities and processes that focus on continuous and incremental innovation (Bessant et al., 1994, p.17). CI is a new approach that enhances productivity, performance, and achieves competitive advantage needed in the highly competitive industries. It may also serve as a complementary approach to other quality improvement initiatives such as total quality management (TQM) (Pike, Barnes, & Barnes 1995, p. 23; Larson 2003; Lassen, Gertsen, & Riis 2006; Oakland 2007, p. 227). The purpose of this research is to explore the application of production systems engineering methods in the CI at manufacturing plants.
When a case study is conducted, the researcher conducts an in-depth observation on a particular individual for an extended period of time. While observing the individual, the researcher records their observations which are then translated into case materials that are used to demonstrate a possible problem (American Psychological Association, 2009). Also, as mentioned before, case studies are solely focused on observations of a particular individual. However, even though the word individual is usually used to refer to a person, in this case, it can also be used to refer to a business, school, or neighborhood (Cozby & Bates, 2012).
Despite the idea of humans functioning on a dysfunctional system, there may still be some objections arguing for the goodness of these factors or how we are looking at the problem from an incorrect lens. One such a response could be that the mind and dysfunctional system are two separate things, and rather than this situation being purely mental processes, it could be a physical response. Everyone in life experiences failure. It can affect people positively or negatively and that all depends on how they react to the experience. If one lets their failure overcome their dreams, it will lead them in the wrong path. But if one views their failures as a motive to succeed and grow, then they are on their way to becoming successful. For me, I let my failures in life help build onto my character and define the person I am today. My childhood injury is my example as I let this moment affect the outcome of my dreams I had then.

In my opinion, people believe they should act or feel a certain way because of what is broadcast on television, featured in magazines, and even brought into the limelight by celebrities. After viewing the movie Crash, in my opinion, the movie targets on going social problems that are constantly being swept under the rug to this present day. I deem Crash a race movie because it forces the audience to question their own moral values.

Film-goers’ attraction to disasters as a subject started since the time of the silent film era. Even in this present time, the interest on disaster film maintains. The disasters are either approaching, ongoing, or established in the distant future. They can occur in the vicinity or worldwide. Commonly showed catastrophes in disaster or doomsday films include natural disasters, accidents like plane crashes, a skyscraper on fire or global illness epidemic, criminally plots such as terrorist conspiracies, bombs on the plane, and catastrophe that includes aliens, zombies or monsters attack, apocalyptic like the end of the world. Failure is apart of life, it can make or break a person. When a person experiences a type of failure it is now up to them to see how they respond. They can choose the high road, and become a stronger person for it. Then they can choose the low road, the easy way out. The easy way out is never a good choice. It can lead only to destruction. The high road is the right choice to take when responding to failure. It will lead down a path of success. Jessica Lahey’s article, “When Success Leads to Failure” is an article that shows how kids are experiencing failure. Lahey says that, “these kids have a fear for failure, and that they have given up natural loves for learning. They are scared of not being successful”(Lahey). The truth is life is hard there will be failure. There is nothing in this world that comes easy to anyone.
The word scenario appears in the dictionaries with two main meanings. The first, as reported by the Cambridge Dictionary, is “a written plan of the characters and events in a play or film” so it assumes the sense of plan. For instance, in the context of movie, a scenario is, more precisely, the part of the screenwriting process which precedes the screenplay, so it is a synoptical collage of events or series of actions. In this acceptation, scenarios are used in project and product planning to represent hypothetical sequences of happenings constructed to take into account the causal interrelations.
The definition of Catastrophic found in the dictionary is “1. involving or causing sudden great damage or suffering. or 2. extremely unfortunate or unsuccessful.” (dictionary.com)
“The failure is the mother of success” this Chinese quote said that failure is not the end. Failure is where people learn from their mistake. People cannot be successful all the time. Indeed, there are many people who learned from their failures before being successful. Each failure that people had met is a helpful lesson and valuable experience to help them become a better person.
