Employers should choose experience over a degree. They want someone who they trust will create more value for their company there is a better way of showing this than having a degree. you have the skills, experiences, and/or mindsets to do the job you are hired for. A degree is not necessary to have a successful career. your success hinges on how well you can prove your abilities of what is required of you by the employer. "Someone with experience but no formal degree could be favored for certain jobs, but they may struggle to advance professionally. On the other hand, a college graduate with the best education and book smarts may be completely at sea when it comes to dealing with real-world work situations with no prior industry experience, and struggle to land that first job." Because you have experience and get hired your pay won’t be high and your chance of advancing in the company are slim. Having a degree but not experience can also have you stuck. I feel it is a mistake to automatically discount someone because they do not have a degree. People with more education have higher earnings. Being hired with experience won’t get you the same pay and or benefits as someone with a degree. It may stop you from climbing the ladder. Most high-paying jobs require at least a bachelor's degree. College graduates earn far more over their lifetimes than people who only graduated from high school. The more educated you are, the better your chances of getting hired, and the more likely you are to earn more. And all of that, of course, leads to a better overall living
