The story of Romeo and Juliet is a classic book filled with romance, star crossed lovers, fate, regret and so much more. But when you think about Romeo and Juliet what comes to your mind? I think mostly of the most consistent theme throughout the entire story, tragedy. But have ever asked yourself who is responsible for the main tragedy in the story? The death of Romeo and Juliet. Someone who didn't even play a large part into the story. The prince of Verona. He only came into the story about three times but when he did he became a crucial part in contributing to the factors that led up to their deaths. Had the prince have had more control over his city the two wouldn't have even been in this mess because. You can see many characters on TV shows, movies, and even books that resemble the characters from the story. One good example is “Teen Beach Movie” in this movie there are two side the bikers and the surfers and they all want to have a restaurant to themselves so they fight over it but in the midst of it all a new love blossoms between a biker and a surfer. But fortunately there story ended up with a happier ending than the original but you still see the same type of structures in characters. The ill-fated lovers, the ill-disposed parents and the ill-mannered prince all contribute to the deaths. Because of their decisions and because of their behaviors and characteristics they play their parts in the conflicts. The Prince is to blame because he failed to fulfill his duty to the people of Verona. The parents are to blame for the neglecting of their children and for demanding marriage. And the lovers are to blame for their rash decisions. Those are the culprits in Romeo and Juliet of the deaths and demise of all and they carry the burden of blame.
Every action we take, decision we make, and person we fall in love with always leads us to our inevitable destiny. Some people are meant to live happily ever after while others may not be so lucky. Romeo and Juliet ended up being one of those not so lucky couples. Born as enemies, their love ended up pulling them closer to their destiny which was proven to be death. One of the people I think is responsible for Romeo and Juliet’s death is Mercutio. Mercutio had evoked a fight with his enemy Tybalt.During the fight, Mercutio was killed by Tybalt and Mercutio put a curse on both of their families.
