The Social Contract Theory and Frankenstein The Social Contract theory“ is the view that person's' moral and/or political obligations are dependent upon a contract or agreement among them to form the society in which they live” (Friend). The social contract theory is our everyday lives. Mary shelley wrote a novel called Frankenstein, and implies the Social Contract theory. In Frankenstein a scientist scientifically creates a creature that comes alive. In the novel the creature is confused and does not know where it fits in with the social contract and the society.
