Preamble
When in course of human events, it becomes necessary that students should attend college for free. We have attended school for free these past years and all of us deserve an opportunity to continue our free education. We join as students and scholars to unite and write our own Declaration of Independence to explain why we deserve free education to our school board and representatives.

We hold these truths to be obvious, all students are created equal and deserve an opportunity to continue having free education. We can reach this right by colleges changing the tuition cost to no cost. However, if this is not changed it shows that colleges don’t want those that can’t afford

One of the hot topics of debate going on in the U.S. today that presidential candidates are talking about is college tuition. Some have revealed their proposals to American citizens on how they would tackle the issue of tuition. The question is which one of the many proposals will work and limit the amount of people who don’t go to college and give them a reason to go. In-state college tuition should be free for all students meeting admission requirements, allowing students from the full spectrum of economic backgrounds to have the same opportunity to receive the same education. The incidence of poverty in the U.S. is directly linked to educational level. When a college degree is earned, income levels rise (College Board). The best use of federal government anti-poverty funds is not another welfare or assistance program; it is to make college education affordable for everyone.

They often come from minority and low-income households and end up pursuing more affordable, less-selective schools instead.” College can be a burden to many students in a variety of different ways, but the most common reason is due to funds. Making college free for students will help this problem by increasing jobs in the work industry that require degrees, they should be affordable to all people at all cost, as well as the funds should be completely cut off because it would increase jobs and help America's economy grow.
When hearing the words “free” and “college” in the same sentence, that is exciting to anyone who is interested in not paying those thousands of dollars for their pursued education. College is one of the most fundamental institutions in our modern world. It is a place where most of our future politicians, doctors, scientists, and leaders are made. Though, it seems that the price tag that comes with a college education is something that is too hefty for some students. Countless debates go on about whether the price of college should be abolished or whether the cost still is on the students to pay for.

There are many important factors in the Declaration of Independence, which enable the foundation of a new government. These range from describing grievances with England, to how government should be run differently, to the first statement of separation. The first step to the foundation of a new government is the uniting of a people in a common goal. Since all people were feeling violated by English soldiers, it was necessary to state these grievances in order to make people aware that they are not alone. When people learned that others felt the same as them emotion was stirred. The Declaration of Independence listed the grievances such as, “He has erected a multitude of new offices, and sent hither swarms of officers to harass our people and eat out their substance.” The next important step to the foundation of a new government was to gain peoples ambition by showing how the government would be run if a new party took over. This goal was achieved by stating the rights of man. “We hold these truths to be self evident: That all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” This statement made people hopeful and feel kindly toward this new government. The final step in the preparation for a new government was separation from the old government. This was declared twice in the Declaration of Independence. In the beginning, “That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, driving their just powers from the consent of the governed,” and in the end, “that these united colonies are, and of right ought to be, free and independent states; that they are absolved from all allegiance to the British crown, and that all political connection between them and the state of Great Britain is, and ought to be, totally dissolved. In conclusion, the Declaration of Independence was able to motivate people, give them ambition, and made it simple for Americans to take action.

Danielle Douglas-Gabriel, in “What these colleges are doing on tuition is better than Stanford” says, “Stanford University has received a lot of attention for offering free tuition to students whose families make less than $125,000- throwing in free room and board for those earning less than $65,000” Stanford University is a good example that announced free tuition for students who cannot afford to pay for their education (Douglas-Gabriel). Stanford’s offer is a big opportunity, for the students to place themselves on a good future path. These kinds of offers would be a great assistance for the students who are not able to pay college tuition. However, these few colleges are not enough to fulfill the number of students who need free tuition. As we know, more students need more colleges with free tuition. Stanford University is a good model to inspire other colleges. Therefore, more colleges should create a free tuition option for students who are not able to pay for their tuition.
