Exam survival guide Have you got a test or exam coming up that you do not know what to do about? Do you always struggle with the time limit in tests? Are you always nervous before your exams? Well then read on to find about all that and much more! Before the test Buy a few sheets of A3 paper and write out your exam timetable and stick it up on your bedroom wall. This will help you remember what you are doing on what day which will help relieve your tension. When you are studying, do not just read the book, it will be like you are hypnotised. Turn the page, scan for information, forget information, turn the page. What you can do is take notes, when you are active, even slightly, you remember things easily. During the test there are many tactics that you can try. For example, one method is starting at the back of the paper with the hard questions and working your way back to the easiest questions, that way your brain does not get tired. Also try and work out how much time you have for each question. If you have an hour and a quarter long test and seventy-five questions then you get a minute per question (obviously some questions would take longer to work out and some less, but try to roughly stick to your guild line). For every hard question, take notes. Do not rely on yourself to remember what you have worked out, as well as that, you might work out the answer, get distracted, and have to work it out again, that wastes time especially if it is a hard question.
