EXERCISE 17 The evolution of the car is one in which change is evident . Starting from the 1930s the car has evolved from the 1920s carrage like model to a now day ‘ Oldern day classic”. The cars in this century became more luxurious and complex as for the first time the car heater and radio was introduced. It was amazing to see how the cars power facilities had evolved into automatic control panels, something that had never been seen before. This new addition refined power in the car industry. Not only did the inside of the car evolve, but the whole body became more sleek and sophisticated as the cars rounded extra was now introduced. In the 1940s the car models became more mainstream than the cars on the 1930s. This was due to the impact World War 2 had on materials. Materials such as copper, zinc and aluminum were scarces as most was on demand for making guns, bullets and weapons needed for the war. This forced car manufactures to make cars out of cast-iron and steel, materials used before the 1930s. However cars did not become less sophisticated as appealing .
