When you rise in the morning, give thanks for the light, for your life, for your strength. Give thanks for your food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason to give thanks, the fault lies in yourself. People tend to forget that you also have two important things in your life: your parents. I am grateful for my parents for coming into my life. One person that cares, adores, and is thankful is of course, my mom. I am thankful for my mom because she is always there to help me. She gets a chance to help me whenever she is home. Even though she isn’t an eighth grade teacher, I go right to her and she tries her best to help me. She helps me study for upcoming quizzes and tests and she helps me do homework, even though she has her own work to do. One time I had dance from 6:00 to 8:30 and I asked her if she can make me a little quiz to study for my algebra quiz and when I get home it is sitting right on the table. I always thank her because she took time out of her work to make me a quiz and that shows that she cares about me. This is a reason why I am thankful for my mom. I am thankful for my dad because he always gives me courage when I play soccer. My dad believed that I was great at soccer. He passed on his courage to me and I’m elated that he did that. When he was younger, he was the soccer ball. He loves soccer and he used to play it when he was a kid. My grandpa used to coach my dads team. He flew on the field like Messi. My dad now coaches my brothers travel team. He always gives me good advice whether I’m on or off the field. One time my dad believed that I could make the school soccer team as a 6th grader, so he encouraged me to start training. After the tryouts I figured out that I made the team. If it wasn’t for my dad believing in me, I wouldn’t have been on the school soccer team in 6th, 7th, and 8th
