In Eudora welty’s “A Worn Path” the character of Phoenix Jackson is a symbol of the bird from mythology creatures because they both are very old they both also have to do with rebirth and they both overcome obstacles. In Eudora welty’s “A Worn Path” the character of Phoenix Jackson is a symbol of the bird from mythology because in this story they described Pheonix Jackson as very old because she walked around with a red bandana with a apron and she also walked around with a old cane that was made from the handle of a umbrella and she seen things like someone trying to give her cake and she would of acceptee the cake from the little kid but she figured it was a hallucination so she tried to stop seeing it and that's when she fell in the ditch and help from the hunter.
