1 Introduction In this case of study, some moral problems arising in the project that, George Randall was working with. These kinds of problems are very common in the engineering industry as ethical issues conflict with the maximizing of profit, personal or professional achievements and goals etc. In this case we have to understand the ethical problems Randall should deal with and based on 3 different ethical-theories to propose respectively the right actions for each one in order to give a final solution. Each theory has its own moral rules according to how can someone choose the ethical way in specific situations. In the next chapter is the theory of utilitarianism that is going to be discussed where its primary goal is the maximizing of happiness and how can affect George's actions. After that deontology theory is being analyzed that is based on duty and in the final chapter the study focuses on George's character and only. 2 Utilitarian-based theory Utilitarianism is a consequence-based theory [1] that promotes the happiness of peo-ple and that is morally correct to make decisions based on it. By not signing them at all he will be happy though because he will do the right thing for him but for everyone else the results of that action are going to be negative. His boss is going to be disappointed, because now she will have to deal with her boss and explain the situation. If they are all going to disagree with George’s decision the most likely is to fire him. That will also have more negative aspects because they will need a new person for this job, so the project is going to be delivered later than what was planned thus will have a bad impact to the company’s directors hence in the status of the company and so on and might have an impact on their
