Ethical Dilemmas In Higher Education

People have fought, debated, and struggled to gain fair and ethical acceptance into higher educational institutions. Out of the countless amounts of applications that are promptly submitted, there is always that aspiration to obtain the “American dream”. This dream includes equality and fairness for all people no matter of economic status, athletic abilities or perceived intelligence. However, higher education can also include some ethical implications that could affect individual students in a negative way. The profession that this paper will discuss is higher education, and some ethical dilemmas that may arise with leadership of these collegiate institutions. The levels of higher education vary, tremendously, from community colleges to universities and other vocational and trade institutions. Within those institutions are various departments, which we examine a bit closely. In lieu of discussing actual positions in higher education, we thought that exploring a semi-holistic approach to certain areas of high ethical concentration would be deemed more effective in conveying the ethical inappropriateness within institutions of higher education.

Recruitment can be the biggest day of any high school athlete’s career is the day they’ve been working so hard for which is the day that they sign with the college team that can possibly take them all the way to the professional league. This day is also something that parents wait for because of the hard work and time they’ve invested to make sure that their child becomes one of the best athletes to ever play professionally.
