Do not leave essential oils in an area where direct sunlight can reach them as process of oxidation will radically speed up. Select a cool and dark place for storage; and keep them away from the reach of the children.

Other specific essential oils such as Fennel, Aniseed, Rose Otto and Star Anise, may harden so you just set them aside for a couple of minutes before using them.
Keep your essential oils from heat. Most essential oils are volatile due to some of their components, for that reason you should NEVER ever leave them in a place near appliances like gas burner, oven toaster, etc.
