Wired and Wireless Networks
Introduction: This is a 21th century, technology is the most important and improved thing of the human life. It makes life easier and faster. Development of faster sophisticated technology we have better and fast life. So all we are connect each other by computer network. There are two different way of network: Wired and wireless. Now day we can found network almost everywhere. Home, business, public place, Airport, Planes, hospitals, school, train everywhere we can found networking. Therefore, almost every sector of the economy that has affected by wired and wireless technology. Wired network and wireless protect both has security, But in general wireless network is less secure than wired networks. For proper security AP (access point) and its antenna should be right position. Also add a wireless access point or use a wireless router we can connect to network wirelessly. AS we using more and more of devices (smart phones, tablet and computers) rely on wireless networking, we have to improve our network security too.
Wired ones are practically safer. At least as far as interception is concerned. But all about how we used our wired network system. And what types of wire we used. The quite of wire used though, the standard copper wire can be easily manipulated and data packets stolen, optical fibers are way safer though. In one way we cannot be sure of being safe ever. The internet is a rapidly growing field and securing the flow of data is surely getting harder day by day. Technology has advance so much since the old days. We see technology everywhere but one major thing that has change since back then into now has been the internet usage. Believe it or not internet is being used everywhere. First, it was used in desktops now is on laptops, cellphones, and tablets and even on TV and Video games. Internet, is very bad for society but three major reasons why is bad is due to many deaths, creating health issues, and bullying.
Compare and contrast between Information and network: Networking is often a combination of various services. Therefore, in order for various services to be effective, mutual services need to be organically associated. Network have bunch of information. People receive information through using network. It also spread out the data. Applications, which access databases, could save the data and also could manipulated it. Information is data, which comes from the network. So, information and network can never be separated. They are always together.
The world has gone through a lot of changed as time passes by. With advancements in the technological field people are can communicate with ones from around the world without having to even lift a finger. To make things more efficient and more cost saving industries have made technology wireless. Wireless technology gives people the chance to get up from their stationary computer, or cord phone and able to freely move without restrictions. The IT, or Information Technology has become a standard and very critical part of today’s society. Wireless technology came from the basic just cellular usage to sensors in the medical field. Wires are now a thing of the past in today’s world with forever revitalizing technology.
The radios used for WiFi communication are very similar to the radios we see in phones and televisions. They can transmit and receive waves, and they can convert ones and zeroes into radio waves and convert the radio waves back into ones and zeroes. Although, WiFi radios have a some distinguishable differences from other radios. They transmit at frequencies of 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz. Keep in mind frequency is considerably higher than the frequencies used for cellphones for example and because of this, can transfer a lot more data at higher speeds.
Wireless headphones have mostly the advantage of taking everywhere with you and anywhere as per wired headphone, the wire can be bent, broke or sometime cannot get to different devices that’s where take the high number, the wireless headphone.
To start off, let us establish what infrared transmission is in the context of networking. Infrared transmission is merely an alternative means of wireless communication of electronic devices. The most common method of wireless transmission is radio waves, which is what your wireless router operates on. Infrared transmission is the same concept as your radio wave transmission but operates much differently. We use infrared transmission media every day of our lives without considering the fact that we are. This is because infrared technology is very commonly used in remote controls for garage doors and televisions due to its low cost and lack of licensing requirements. However, using infrared transmission is much less commonplace in the world of computer networking due to its unique disadvantages. The advantages and disadvantages of infrared technologies will be discussed later on and thus will enlighten us as to why it is so rare. Infrared transmission media can be used for great efficiency in specific situations where its weaknesses can be controlled as well as suppressed.
Wireless Charging which can be called inductive charging uses electromagnetic fields to transfer energy between two unconnected objects. It was invented by scientists from MIT. They transferred 60 watts with ~40% efficiency over two meters, which was able to light up a bulb(Kurs 83). From that time, this technology has entered a stage of rapid development. A lot of companies joined in researching this new technology, like Intel, Nokia and Apple. Recently, people are crazy about having a world without cables, but there are some potential risks behind it.
“The rapid revolution in technology affected our lifestyle drastically and led us to believe that our lives have changed for the better”(Martin, Alice). Today we have time to do everything except think (“Time to Do Everything”). The life we live now with wireless communication is undoubtedly fast paced compared to the life we lived before wireless communication. We used to be more patient with situations back then and our worries were not as ridiculous as forgetting to update our status. Today we have time to browse social networks and tweet about mindless thoughts, but we do not have time to do more important things, such as reading a book, or spending a couple of hours studying for the next crucial test coming up. We do not realize that the time we spend on social networks or texting should have been spent doing something productive. What ever happened to going outside to hang out with a couple friends or having a conversation with a loved one. Everyone has gotten to the point where they are just absurdly lazy and do not want to put in the attempt for reading, writing, or even having a conversation face to face. They are just obsessed with knowing when the next monster iPhone will come out. The majority of todays society is obsessed with technology. Is it about time we pull the plug on technology. The evolution of wireless communication changed our lives for the worse; people can barely communicate face to face anymore, occasionally not even a simple phone call can be made, everyone would rather send an email or text message.
