I have accomplished numerous things throughout this semester that have provided me a structural basis for important writing processes. We have learned many things throughout he semester that have helped me become the writer I am today. These particular activities have helped me practice my writing processes, from drafting, revising, and editing to providing emphasis and clarity for learning, communicating, and critical evaluation.

Not only did this help me organize my thoughts, but it also allowed me to use more colorful description and vivid details that are crucial in academic essays. For instance, one particular day in class we were beginning to write our first major literacy narrative essay, and we had to develop ideas on what to write for it. I remember the whole class was having trouble picking what to write about so Mrs. Crawford suggested pre-writing. Pre-writing is when you write down all the ideas that pop into your head, and when you are done you develop those ideas into complex sentences that you can use in your narrative essay. In addition, we would also use a resource called “Smartthinking” which sends your essay to be reviewed by tutors in a specific type of writing center. This resource allows you to receive feedback from instructors on how you can improve on your essay. You can even request certain things to look at such as organization, main ideas, and most importantly grammar and mechanics. These particular activities provided me with a basis on improving my writing skills and essays so that I can start writing more detailed creative content that will give me the basic understanding of the principles of
