In the world we live in there are several different cultures that surround us in everyday life. What we may think people do is weird others think the same about us because of the culture style they live in. Everyone fits into there own culture and some fit into many as well. There are high context cultures, collectivist cultures, conflict as opportunity cultures, and many more to follow. The main ones I will be talking about are individualist cultures and monochronic cultures. Monochronic cultures are cultures that see time and punctuality important. Growing up I was all about playing college baseball. I did everything I could do to get there. During High School for four straight years 5 days a week I was practicing with teammates and my trainers. I set everything aside just do get this accomplished. Reality set in when I injured myself during my college season and I had to give the game up but my individualist side of me didn’t go away. I was mad we did not show up on time for the dinner and also mad we did not get to eat. She on the other hand had no care in the world and was relaxed about the whole situation. I acted this way because I hate being late being late to things I have a set time for. Something that I have learned from this situation is to plan a little more ahead of time. We meet in the middle now I don’t get to upset on things like that anymore but she also knows now to have a little more since of time, so we compromise. Things could have happened different that night as well. I could have called the restaurant and let them know we were running a little bit behind but we were still coming. What could of made the situation worse would have been something along the lines of her not even attempting to get ready for the
